Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and compassionate Travel Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant with experience in Cardiology to provide on-site care to residents in long-term care settings. This is a full‑time position ideal for a provider who values meaningful patient relationships and a collaborative care environment. As a Cardiology Travel Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive care to patients with heart‑related conditions.

Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including physical examinations, medical histories, and diagnostic tests.
  • Collaborate with cardiologists to develop and implement treatment plans for patients with cardiovascular conditions.
  • Administer medications, monitor patient responses, and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Conduct cardiac stress tests, electrocardiograms (EKGs), and other diagnostic procedures.
  • Educate patients and their families about cardiovascular health, preventive measures, and the importance of medication adherence.
  • Travel regularly to multiple nursing homes within the designated region to deliver on‑site care.
  • Maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate facility visits and optimize patient coverage.
Requirements
  • Nurse Practitioner License
  • DEA License
  • 6 months of experience in long‑term care
  • Reliable transportation
  • Must be willing to travel to different nursing homes within the state of Nebraska (100% commitment)
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds and stand / walk / work on your feet up to 6‑8 hours per day.
