Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate CNA to join our Emerald Nursing and Rehab Mercy team. In this role, you will provide high-quality care and support to residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well‑being. This position offers flexibility with scheduling and is ideal for those looking to work on an as‑needed basis.

Work Environment

This position operates in a clinical healthcare environment.

Responsibilities
  • Resident Care:
    Assist residents with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.

  • Mobility Assistance:
    Help residents with mobility issues, including transferring, positioning, and ambulating safely.

  • Vital Signs Monitoring:
    Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.

  • Documentation:
    Accurately document all care provided, changes in residents’ conditions, and any other pertinent information in electronic health records.

  • Communication:
    Report any changes in residents’ conditions or concerns to the nursing staff or supervisor in a timely manner.

  • Supportive Tasks:
    Assist with feeding, preparing meals, and providing companionship to enhance residents’ quality of life.

  • Infection Control:
    Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe environment for residents.

  • Team

    Collaboration:

    Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including nurses and physicians, to ensure cohesive and comprehensive care.

Qualifications
  • Experience:

    Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar healthcare setting preferred.

  • Physical Requirements:

    Ability to lift and move residents, as well as perform physical tasks associated with patient care.

  • Certifications:

    Current CNA certification in Omaha required.

  • Flexibility: to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
