Role Description

This is a full‑time, on‑site role for a Director of Nursing located in Wahoo, NE. The Director of Nursing will oversee all aspects of the nursing department, including staff management, implementing infection control protocols, and ensuring adherence to medical and nursing standards. Responsibilities also include supervising long‑term and short‑term care plans, coordinating with healthcare professionals, and promoting a quality‑focused care environment within the facility.

The role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and fosters a culture of continuous improvement in the caregiving team.

Qualifications
  • Proven expertise in Nursing Management and leadership within a clinical or long‑term care setting
  • Strong knowledge and experience in Infection Control practices and protocols
  • Comprehensive understanding of Nursing and Medicine principles in skilled care and rehabilitation
  • Experience working in Long‑term Care environments, and the ability to create and manage individualized care plans
  • Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Nebraska
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to lead a team and foster a collaborative, patient‑centered care environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent; advanced degree or certifications in healthcare management is a plus
