Certified Nursing Assistant / Nursing Assistant – Neurology Med Surg
Position: 48‑bed Neurology/Neurosurgery unit
Shift: Nights, 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m. (Full‑time and Part‑time positions available)
Position Highlights:
- Provides quality care to stroke, aneurysm, seizure, spinal fusion, and brain tumor patients
- Works closely with physicians, PT/OT, SLP, and interdisciplinary teams
- Opportunity for nurses interested in ICU experience
Responsibilities:
- Perform delegated patient activities as assigned by licensed nursing personnel to support the patient’s plan of care
- Assist with activities of daily living, monitor patient status, and provide basic bedside care
- Minimum age 16 with valid Certified Nursing Assistant certification in Nebraska
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an AHA‑endorsed program within 30 days of hire
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team
- Computer data entry and word‑processing skills
- Basic medical terminology knowledge
- Minimum age 18
- High‑school diploma or equivalent
- At least six months of patient‑care experience or enrollment in a nursing program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon unit orientation
- Strong communication skills
- Direct patient‑care experience
- Computer data entry and word‑processing skills
- Basic medical terminology knowledge
