Certified Nursing Assistant / Nursing Assistant – Neurology Med Surg

Position: 48‑bed Neurology/Neurosurgery unit

Shift: Nights, 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m. (Full‑time and Part‑time positions available)

Position Highlights:

  • Provides quality care to stroke, aneurysm, seizure, spinal fusion, and brain tumor patients
  • Works closely with physicians, PT/OT, SLP, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Opportunity for nurses interested in ICU experience

Responsibilities:

  • Perform delegated patient activities as assigned by licensed nursing personnel to support the patient’s plan of care
  • Assist with activities of daily living, monitor patient status, and provide basic bedside care
Required Qualifications – Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
  • Minimum age 16 with valid Certified Nursing Assistant certification in Nebraska
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an AHA‑endorsed program within 30 days of hire
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team
Preferred Qualifications – CNA
  • Computer data entry and word‑processing skills
  • Basic medical terminology knowledge
Required Qualifications – Nursing Assistant
  • Minimum age 18
  • High‑school diploma or equivalent
  • At least six months of patient‑care experience or enrollment in a nursing program
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon unit orientation
  • Strong communication skills
Preferred Qualifications – Nursing Assistant
  • Direct patient‑care experience
  • Computer data entry and word‑processing skills
  • Basic medical terminology knowledge
