Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU position requiring pediatric cardiac ICU experience and a NE or compact RN license.

• Work in a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVPICU) in a hospital setting
• Care for patients post open-heart surgery, single ventricles, complex cardiac anatomy, heart transplant, and heart failure
• Average daily census of 21 and 32 beds in the unit
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2
• Exposure to and/or experience with invasive cardiac monitoring, ECMO, CRRT, vasopressors, and cardiac/sedation drips
• Night shift schedule, three 12-hour shifts per week (19:00–07:00)
• First-time travelers are welcome for this position
• Locals living within 100 miles of the facility are not accepted
• Responsibilities include managing complex pediatric cardiac patients and performing advanced cardiac monitoring

• Active NE or compact RN license required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS
• Minimum 2 years of pediatric cardiac ICU experience required
• Must not have previous permanent employment with this health system
