Are you an experienced nurse looking to take the next step in your career? We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) / Infection Preventionist to join our skilled nursing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a nursing professional who is passionate about quality care, clinical excellence, and infection prevention.
Responsibilities of Clinical Supervisor (RN/LPN) Infection Preventionist:- Assist the Director of Nursing with the daily management and oversight of nursing services.
- Support and guide nursing staff to ensure residents receive safe, compassionate, and high-quality care.
- Serve as the facility’s Infection Preventionist and oversee the infection prevention and control program.
- Monitor infection trends, conduct surveillance, and implement appropriate interventions.
- Develop, implement, and maintain infection prevention policies and procedures.
- Provide education and training to staff regarding infection prevention, control practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
- Participate in audits, investigations, and corrective action plans as needed.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with physicians, residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members to promote positive resident outcomes.
- Assist with staff supervision, clinical documentation, and other nursing leadership responsibilities.
- Active RN or LPN license.
- Previous experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred.
- Prior ADON, nursing leadership, or infection prevention experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of infection prevention and control practices.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality resident care.
