American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg RN for a 13-week night shift assignment at a Level 1 trauma academic medical center requiring NE or compact RN licensure.
Requirements- Active RN license (NE or Compact) required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Must be willing to precept and teach in an academic institute setting
- Able to care for a wide variety of patient types
- Driver's license required at time of consideration to confirm residence location
- Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and rehire eligibility
- 28-bed Med/Surg unit in an acute care, Level 1 trauma academic institution
- Patient ratios of 1:5-6 with nurse aide support at 1:10-14
- Patient population includes cardiology, surgical oncology, urology, and complex general med surg cases
- Respiratory equipment used includes nasal cannula (
