At Urgent Pet Care, we know pets are family. When emergencies happen, our team is here to provide lifesaving care and compassionate support. Our Exam Room Assistants are at the heart of that mission — a reassuring voice, a steady hand, and a continuous point of communication helping families through stressful moments. Our hours of operation are Monday–Saturday 8 am–12 midnight and Sunday 8 am–10 pm.
As an Exam Room Assistant at Urgent Pet Care, you’ll be a guide, a comfort, and an advocate for pets and their people.

The exam room assistant is a hard worker who is self-motivated, able to multi-task, handles stress well, advocates for their patients, and is aware of the bigger picture. Under the general supervision of a Veterinarian, the exam room assistant helps decide on the best treatment plan for patients. The exam room assistant’s goal is to have a working knowledge of the receptionist position, to have competence with Avimark and Microsoft Word, and to provide an exceptional customer service experience by treating each client and patient with the utmost compassion and respect.
Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases.

Qualifications- Veterinary experience preferred, but not required.

- Attend monthly staff meetings.
- Must be able to work energetically for an entire shift, occasionally those exceeding 9–10 hours per day.
