Mowing Crew Lead

Position Overview

RYAN Lawn and Tree is looking for a Mowing Crew Lead. Do you love the smell of fresh‑cut grass? Do you enjoy caring for pristine, perfect lines on a gorgeous lawn? We want to talk to you about joining the team at Ryan Lawn and Tree.

• Lead a mowing crew of 1–3 people.
• Manage a crew that services a route daily, performing mowing, trimming, edging, blowing off hard surfaces; sometimes weeding, pruning, leaf clean‑ups, bed clean‑ups, cutbacks, aeration, verticutting, power rake, and over seeding of lawns.
• Communicate effectively with other department route managers or experts to meet client expectations for irrigation, turf, and forestry needs.
• Work independently or on a team while caring for customer properties.
• Interact professionally with customers daily, explaining the process and expectations of services.
• Possess thorough knowledge of mowing and landscape maintenance practices.
• Continue on‑the‑job training for all RYAN services and recommend additional services to clients.
• Coach crew members to develop skills, efficiency, and knowledge of mowing and maintenance services.
• Ensure all crew members have the tools, resources, and training to accurately perform service demands.

• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to obtain DOT medical certification.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to push/pull objects while walking up to 3 miles a day.
• 2 years of mowing or landscape maintenance experience.

• Full‑time year‑around employment with a starting compensation of $50,000‑$60,000+ and bonuses available.
