Part time Veterinary Assistant

Veterinary Assistant – Part time Gentle Doctor Animal Hospitals – Omaha, NE Starting at $16+/hour

• Assist veterinarians during exams
• Blood draws/Anal glands/nail trims
• Educate pet owners on care, treatment plans, and preventive health
• Use veterinary software and maintain accurate patient records
• Help ensure the overall well-being of our patients through hands-on, compassionate care
• Ensure smooth daily operations in a collaborative team setting
• Support hospital and kennel care as needed

• 2 days per week, 6:55 AM – 6:15 PM + One half-day during the week
• Rotating Saturdays
• One weekend per month (Saturday & Sunday kennel duty with $3/hour weekend pay bonus)

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Veterinary Assistant (required)
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with veterinary software and tools
• Attention to detail and a compassionate, team-focused attitude
• A genuine love for animals and dedication to their care

• Starting at $16/hour and up (based on experience)
