Nature of Work: This work involves collecting pool admissions, registrations for swimming lessons, and seasonal swimming passes.

Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Ability to receive fees, count money, make correct change, and operate a point of sale system.
• Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, program participants, and the public.
• Ability to move about the facility 80 to 100% of the workday.
• Ability to understand written and oral instructions.
• Ability to communicate with patrons and participants over the phone

Essential Functions: (Any one position may not perform all of the duties listed, nor do the listed examples include all of the duties that may be performed in positions allocated to this classification.)

• Collects admission and other swimming related fees and assists in the preparation of daily financial reports and deposit slips.
• Provides customer assistance to swimmers and telephone callers, responding to inquiries and complaints.
• Performs other duties as assigned or as the situation dictates within the scope of this classification.
• In addition to the functions listed above, the following duties will be performed by staff assigned to:
  Learn to Swim Program
• Receives training on providing swim lessons (no prior experience necessary).
• Provides swim lessons for a variety of age and skill groups.

Special

Qualifications:

Must be a minimum of 15 years old.

Pay Range: $15.00+ per hour

Successfully passing a criminal background review, reference check, and if applicable, a credit check, is required as a condition of employment.
