Omaha Vets Group is seeking a qualified Licensed Veterinary Technician!

Position Summary

Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT)

– Key Responsibilities

• Handle inpatient and outpatient care, collaborating closely with veterinarians.
• Assist in exam rooms with tasks such as:
• Taking patient history and vital signs.
• Confirming weight and reviewing vaccine needs.
• Preparing vaccines, collecting samples, and running diagnostic tests.
• Providing client education and assisting with animal restraint.
• Conduct independent appointments for procedures including:
• Pedicures, suture removals, and certain vaccine administrations.
• Bloodwork or other lab sample monitoring.
• Surgery admissions/discharges and general patient care.
• Complete daily checklists and assigned responsibilities.
• Communicate effectively with clients, staff, and veterinarians:
• In person, by phone, and for ongoing and follow-up care.
• Provide updates on patient monitoring.
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor:
• Wear professional attire, including a name tag.
• Ensure a groomed appearance and exhibit excellent communication skills.
