Lauritzen Gardens is a non-profit organization that provides conservation efforts across the Great Plains, practices and promotes thoughtful and ecologically minded horticulture practices, creates educational and inspirational experiences, and offers a year-round schedule of tours, programs, and workshops that explore, explain, and celebrate the world of plants.

Volunteer Opportunities Visitor Services & Gift Shop- Welcome guests at the visitor center.
- Assist with membership check-in to keep lines moving.
- Help with gift shop needs such as unpacking inventory, organizing displays, and gift wrapping.
- Exhibit Docent : Engage visitors at seasonal exhibits like the Mum Show, Poinsettia Show, and Spring Flow Show.
- Your Tour Guide : Inspire school groups and lead hands-on learning experiences.
- What's in Bloom & Plants of Interest : Track and share seasonal garden highlights.
- Assist with classroom programs, summer camps, scout events, and more.
- Outdoor Gardening : Planting, mulching, watering, pruning, and weeding.
- Indoor Greenhouse Support :
Transplanting, cleaning, watering, and preparing seasonal displays. - Conservatory Care :
Maintain tropical and temperate plant collections. - Model Railroad Garden :
Keep our popular miniature trains running smoothly (especially on weekends during the holidays).
- Help with mailings, answering phones, distributing flyers, or photography.
