Shortage Control Associate

Join our team as a Shortage Control Associate and contribute to a secure shopping environment while delivering exceptional customer service.

• Stand at store entrances and exits to deter theft and create a safe environment.
• Greet every customer entering or exiting the store with a warm smile and a loud, friendly greeting.
• Maintain a professional appearance and stand positioned at the front of the store, remaining vigilant and aware of surroundings.
• Conduct bag and package checks on store and corporate associates to ensure adherence to safety and security standards.
• Collaborate with the Manager on Duty to conduct store rallies and communicate theft prevention information.
• Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious activity to the Manager on Duty.

• Master top shortage areas and support theft reduction programs.
• Effectively communicate theft prevention strategies during store rallies.
• Understand your role in keeping store assets safe and secure.

• Provide training support for associates on shortage reduction programs.
• Model safety as a top priority and promptly address unsafe practices.

• 1+ years of customer service, hospitality, retail, loss prevention, or operations experience preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and visually monitor the store environment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and review business trends.
• Positive demeanor, strong posture, and energetic greeting.
• Excellent communication with customers and co‑workers.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment with detailed focus and disciplined decision making.
