Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated Business Development Representative (BDR) to drive growth within our Business Development department. This role focuses on prospecting, qualifying leads, and booking meetings with decision‑makers across retail, grocery, QSR, and enterprise facility clients.

As the front line of our sales funnel, you’ll generate qualified opportunities, uncover client needs, and position Alff Co’s nationwide facility and construction solutions to build a pipeline for our Account Executive team.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of outbound prospecting or B2B sales experience, is confident in cold calling, and excels in both written and verbal communication. You thrive in a fast‑paced, activity‑driven environment, overcome objections with resilience, and have a proven track record of booking qualified meetings that lead to long‑term partnerships.

Essential Functions of the Role
  • Prospect into target accounts through cold calls, emails, Linked In, and networking.
  • Research, qualify, and build a strong pipeline of opportunities.
  • Conduct discovery calls with facility managers, directors, and executives to identify needs.
  • Clearly communicate Alff Co’s value across construction, maintenance, emergency services, and nationwide coverage.
  • Overcome objections and position Alff Co as a trusted partner.
  • Schedule and hand off qualified opportunities to Account Executives.
  • Maintain accurate activity, notes, and progress in CRM (Salesforce/Hub Spot).
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Operations on outreach strategies.
  • Consistently achieve and exceed activity and pipeline goals.
Other Responsibilities
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Adhering to Alff Co values and professionalism.
  • Weekends/nights may be required.
Qualifications
  • 1–3 years of sales, business development, or customer‑facing experience (B2B, facilities, or construction preferred).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; confident on the phone and in email outreach.
  • Hunter mindset: persistent, energetic, and motivated to break into new accounts.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage pipelines, maintain CRM hygiene, and prioritize effectively.
  • Resilient, coachable, and open to feedback; eager to grow into larger sales roles.
  • Team‑oriented, collaborative, and aligned with Alff Co’s culture of integrity and relationships.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in facilities management, construction, or related service industries.
  • Prior success in outbound prospecting, B2B SaaS sales, or full sales cycle roles.
  • Familiarity with Linked In Sales Navigator or other advanced prospecting tools.
  • Track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
Computer Skills
  • Quick learner with the ability to adopt and navigate new software platforms.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Microsoft Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Working knowledge of CRM systems, with preferred proficiency in Salesforce and Hub Spot.
  • Familiarity with Linked In Sales Navigator, Zoom Info, or other prospecting tools is a plus.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records, manage pipelines, and track activity metrics within CRM and reporting tools.
