Summary Description Of WorkThis position serves as the lead case manager/direct care staff for the evening and weekend shifts in a residential substance use treatment facility that serves women and their children. The lead case manager provides supervision and support to residents as part of the 24‑hour direct care staff, coordinating services for both women and children, and supporting education and programming for families.
CompensationBetween $21.79 and $27.64 per hour, based on total years of relevant experience.
Work Schedule40 hours per week – Wednesday to Saturday, evening shift (2 pm to midnight).
Minimum Qualifications- Associate degree in human services, psychology, social work, sociology, or a related field; or five or more years of experience in the human services field.
- Experience with alcohol/drug use preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Provides supervision and support for program participants within the 24‑hour residential program staffing schedule.
- Attends weekly treatment team meetings and assists in follow‑through documentation.
- Assists staff in developing case management activities and goals for clients.
- Networks with community providers and other agency programs to facilitate client access to resources.
- Coordinates children programming and services.
- Orients clients to agency rules and addresses non‑compliance to maintain a safe environment.
- Co‑ordinates activities of staff and volunteers in the absence of the Assistant Program Director.
- Reviews case management activities, goals, and rules with the Assistant Program Director to monitor compliance and consistency.
- Develops and maintains the monthly staffing schedule, ensuring shift ratios are met.
- Completes intake information with incoming clients.
- Assists with supervision of overnight and on‑call employees.
- Is available by telephone for on‑call emergencies on a rotating basis.
- Documents client activity, progress, and needs according to established record‑keeping procedures.
- Participates in interdisciplinary family/case staffing for service planning.
- Works as a team member with other program staff to provide trauma‑informed care.
- Provides parenting training in group and individual settings.
- Facilitates educational support groups for participants and children.
- Stays knowledgeable of support group services for persons with substance abuse problems and their families.
- Evaluates community service providers to ensure quality care.
- Assists the Assistant Program Director with staff training, statistical reports, and medication practice oversight.
- Schedules and facilitates quarterly case manager meetings.
- Demonstrates continual learning and growth, accepting feedback and seeking best practices.
- Supports clients in household budgeting, credit counseling, daily living skills, personal safety, community resource navigation, employment support, and interpersonal communication.
- Models a courteous and caring attitude toward clientele, volunteers, and visitors.
- Displays dependability and punctuality regarding scheduling and attendance.
- Abides by all program and agency policies and procedures.
- Pursues professional development through internal and external training opportunities.
- Creates, maintains, and shares a dynamic self‑care plan.
- Engages with the community to contribute to fundraising and outreach efforts.
- Performs other program‑related duties as assigned.
