Open Door Mission is a Gospel Rescue Mission founded in 1954, committed to breaking the cycle of homelessness and poverty. Each day, our campus offers 917 safe shelter beds, serves over 4,747 nutritious meals, and provides preventive resources to more than 1,000 people living in poverty.

The Program Technician provides direct services and supervision to Next Step Program participants through building trusting and consistent relationships. The role accomplishes and oversees the daytime Next Steps Program routine and supports administrative and clinical staff as needed.

• Monitor and encourage participants during assigned working hours with a positive attitude, contributing to a healthy and transformative environment.
• Perform interior and exterior area checks at assigned times.
• Perform bed checks and room inspections as applicable.
• Perform housekeeping duties as needed, including cleaning and organizing.
• Provide emergency crisis counseling, problem‑solving, and de‑escalation when necessary.
• Exemplify Jesus Christ daily, sharing the gospel or praying with others as opportunities arise.

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, with demonstrated skills and competencies in treatment of individuals with a behavioral health diagnosis.
• Direct care staff must be 20 years of age or older and at least two years older than the oldest resident under 20.
• Must be a team player, possessing excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient with Google G‑suite and general computer operations.
• Maintain a solid, visible relationship with Christ.

• Bachelor of Social Work (BSW).
• Two years of recovery experience with demonstrated competencies in the treatment of individuals with a behavioral health diagnosis.
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.

• Job Type: Full Time and Part Time availability.
• Overnight Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM.
• Pay Range: $15.00 – $18.00 hourly.
