Family Resource Navigator / Parenting Education Facilitator
Compensation: $19.50–$22.50 per hour, based on experience and funding availability.
Hours:
Full-time, 40 hours per week; flexible schedule including evenings and weekends as needed.

Holistic Family Support Manager
The Family Resource Navigator / Parenting Education Facilitator coordinates parenting education services while providing assessment, engagement, referral, resource navigation, and family support. This position facilitates evidence-based parenting education, connects participants to community resources, supports grant compliance and program evaluation, maintains accurate documentation, and collaborates with community partners to strengthen outcomes for children and families.
Duties & Essential Job Functions- Facilitate parenting education classes using the Nurturing Parenting Program and other evidence-based curricula.
- Recruit, screen, engage, and maintain contact with families participating in CHD programs.
- Conduct pre- and post-assessments, family screenings, and evaluations to measure program effectiveness.
- Provide trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and family-centered services.
- Provide resource navigation and referrals for housing, utilities, employment, behavioral health, domestic violence, childcare, transportation, and other community resources.
- Develop, maintain, and expand a comprehensive community resource network and referral database.
- Coordinate referrals, follow-up services, and participant engagement to support successful outcomes.
- Maintain accurate electronic and paper documentation, case files, attendance, assessments, and progress notes.
- Utilize agency data systems and documentation tools to support program evaluation and reporting.
- Prepare demographic, statistical, outcome, and grant reports.
- Ensure program activities and documentation comply with grant requirements, agency policies, and funding expectations.
- Assist with outreach, community presentations, marketing, and participant recruitment.
- Collaborate with staff, schools, churches, healthcare providers, and community partners.
- Assist with recruiting, training, and mentoring additional facilitators.
- Perform other duties assigned in support of CHD's prevention, education, and family support initiatives.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor's degree in social work, counseling, education, human services, public health, behavioral health, or related field preferred.
- Two years of professional experience in human services, education, case management, or community outreach preferred.
- Experience facilitating workshops, group education, or adult learning activities preferred.
- Experience working with confidential and sensitive information.
- Knowledge of parenting education, child development, trauma-informed care, and social determinants of health.
- Strong communication, facilitation, relationship-building, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to build rapport while maintaining professional boundaries.
- Excellent organization, documentation, time management, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and electronic documentation systems.
- Cultural humility and ability to effectively serve diverse populations.
- Valid Nebraska driver's license, acceptable driving record, and proof of insurance.
- Successful completion of criminal background and child/adult abuse registry checks.
- Drug screening as required.
