The Java Developer will design, develop, and support enterprise applications using Java and Spring Boot, with a strong focus on cloud-native development, event-driven architecture, APIs, and modern software engineering practices. The role will work with AWS, Kafka, MongoDB, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD technologies while contributing to AI-assisted or agentic software development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build and integrate cloud-native solutions using AWS services.
- Develop event-driven applications and integrations using Kafka.
- Design, develop, and consume REST APIs.
- Work with MongoDB for application data storage and management.
- Develop and maintain containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Build and maintain Gradle-based projects and CI/CD pipelines.
- Develop and execute automated unit and integration tests using JUnit or Spock.
- Apply AI-assisted and agentic software development practices where appropriate.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver scalable and reliable software solutions.
- 7-10 years of professional software development experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from an accredited U.S. university.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
- Extensive experience with AWS.
- Experience with Kafka and event-driven architecture.
- Experience with MongoDB.
- Experience developing and integrating REST APIs.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Gradle and CI/CD practices.
- Experience with JUnit or Spock.
- Experience with AI-assisted or agentic software development.
