Job Overview

Emplify Health by Gundersen is recruiting for a BC/BE Corneal, Cataract and Refractive surgeon to take over a busy and established practice. The ideal candidate would be interested in all corneal surgeries including corneal crosslinking, refractive and complex cataracts, and refractive surgery including Lasik and PRK.

Practice and Department

Shared call is 1:10 with board-certified Ophthalmologists on staff. We are a full-service ophthalmology department with comprehensive ophthalmologists as well as subspecialists including glaucoma, retina, pediatrics and oculoplastics.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary is guaranteed and very competitive. We offer paid CME, loan forgiveness and outstanding retirement benefits.

Technology and Equipment

The Emplify Eye Department provides the latest in technology and equipment. We are a well-established, thriving and collegial group. Since we provide care to large regional area, we see a wide variety of pathology in a diverse patient population.

Patient Population and Service Area

We ensure state-of-the-art eye care to the citizens of southwest Wisconsin, southeast Minnesota and northeast Iowa. In addition to ophthalmology, our professional eye care team includes optometrists, certified ophthalmic and optometric technicians, contact lens specialists, low vision personnel, and on-site opticians.

Requirements

Completion of an accredited graduate medical training program and fellowship training is required for this role. Must have or be able to obtain a license to practice in our multi-state region with no restrictions or limitations.

Professional Expectations

Medical staff in our system will supervise advanced practice clinicians. Medical staff may need to provide outreach service as part of their role in the system. Teaching students, residents, fellows or clinical staff is cornerstone to our Medical Education philosophy and an expectation of all medical staff.
