Position: Full-time Personal Care Paraprofessional - Onalaska High School

Position Overview

The School District of Onalaska is accepting applications for a full‑time personal care/special education paraprofessional at Onalaska High School for the remainder of the 25‑26 school year. Paraprofessionals in the district are an integral part of the school system’s programs and will support students in both general and special education programming as needed. In addition to the paraprofessional job role, personal care paraprofessionals are typically assigned to one student at a time and at least 85% of daily responsibilities involve caring for a student's physical, safety, and behavioral needs.

Qualifications

A minimum of two years (48 credits) post‑high‑school education, or an associate degree is preferred. If two years of post‑high‑school education has not been completed, applicants must have passed the Para Pro Assessment or designated Work Keys assessments prior to employment. The Work Keys Assessment is paid for by the district if the applicant is selected for employment.
