We are seeking a dedicated and detail‑oriented Ophthalmic Technician I to join our team at Emplify Health. The ideal candidate will assist optometrists in providing high‑quality patient care, performing various diagnostic tests, and ensuring a smooth workflow in the clinic.
No vision or eye experience needed. All training for this role will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in patient examinations and procedures.
- Perform preliminary tests, including visual acuity, tonometry, and other diagnostic assessments.
- Maintain and prepare examination rooms and equipment.
- Document patient information accurately in electronic health records.
- Educate patients on eye care and post‑operative instructions.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care.
- Work 24 hours each week. Monday, Thursday, Friday
- Hours are between 7:30a-5:00p
- Location :
Onalaska, La Crosse + Float Day 1x a month - Float Day will travel to assist at all Gundersen optical locations

- High school diploma or equivalency
- 2 years of patient/customer service experience
- Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) certified by JCAHPO within 18 months of hire
