Veterinary Assistant

VCA Sand Lake Animal Hospital – Veterinary Assistant

Compensation: $15 - $18 / hr

Schedule: FT 30-40 hrs, 10 hour shifts

Location: 1480 Sand Lake Road, Onalaska, WI 54650

We need a seasoned Veterinary Assistant or a Veterinary Assistant. Your knowledge and skills will be utilized to include, but not limited to:

• Providing support to the entire veterinary hospital staff
• Ensure there is a clean, comfortable environment for patients and clients
• Ensuring that treatment areas and exam rooms remain fully stocked
• Restrain animals during examinations or vaccinations
• Keep accurate records and logs
• Sterilize equipment
• Observing patients for obvious signs of health concerns and reporting any findings to senior staff
