Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Cost Accountant to support cross-functional teams in analyzing cost drivers, managing inventory performance, and ensuring accurate project cost reporting. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, enjoys solving problems through data, and excels at bridging finance with operations. Strong communication skills and the ability to tell a clear story through cost analysis will be key to success.

This role is onsite in Orlando, Florida, working Monday–Thursday, with every other Friday off. Remote work is optional on Fridays.

Note: Due to the nature of this role and immediate business needs, we are only considering candidates currently residing in Orlando, Florida and surrounding area.

• Partner with operations and program teams to analyze cost variances and budget trends.
• Conduct work-in-progress (WIP) accounting to track labor, material, and overhead costs.
• Maintain and reconcile inventory balances (raw, WIP, finished goods) and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare cost reports, financial summaries, and support month-end close processes.
• Support program budgeting and Estimates at Completion (EAC), especially for revenue-over-time contracts.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CMA preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of standard costing, WIP accounting, and inventory reconciliation.
• Proficient with ERP systems (Intuitive ERP v9.0 strongly preferred).
• Exposure to or interest in Power BI or similar reporting tools is a plus.
