Role Overview

The ideal Senior Accountant candidate is a resourceful problem solver who will take ownership of critical accounting tasks and will be a key player in ensuring the on-chain and off-chain accounting and reporting function will scale and support the company’s rapid growth. Enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key to the success of the Senior Accountant.

This is a work from home position with location preference in the San Francisco/Bay Area, Los Angeles/Southern California, New York City, Austin, and Boston. Some travel to in-person company events is required, approximately 2-3 weeks out of the year.

Responsibilities

• Perform day to day accounting duties in AP, AR, cash management, payroll, FA, GL and other duties as assigned
• Assist with the monthly close process by posting monthly journal entries, performing account reconciliations and ad-hoc financial analysis
• Utilize on-chain accounting tools for the monthly close and to improve data accuracy
• Assist in maintaining regular contact and building solid working relationships with various groups to ensure a high level of customer service and work product
• Assist on projects and ad hoc assignments as needed

Requirements

• Solid understanding of GAAP
• Experience with standard software solutions preferred, for example:
  Quick Books Online, Xero, Netsuite, , Gusto, Expensify, Carta
• Experience with crypto accounting software (e.g. Bitwave, Integral) and reconciliation of on-chain transactions
• Experience with Excel and ability to manipulate larger data sets
• Highly detail oriented with excellent organizational skills
• Fast learner with high degree of professional curiosity and desire to learn
• Ability to manage multiple priorities
• Enjoy a collaborative, team-oriented environment

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience; some multi-client experience preferred
• 1+ year of recent experience at a Web3 company or crypto native. If you do not have professional experience, please share the ecosystem within blockchain & crypto that you are excited about and why, in your resume or in a short cover memo.
• Experience working in a fast-paced technology, or professional services environment
