Interim Cost Accountant

We’re looking for a Cost Accountant to jump in and support a growing manufacturing team in Weirton, WV. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys building systems and processes from the ground up and wants to be part of an exciting product development stage.

You’ll be working with a small, hands‑on accounting team that’s still shaping the cost accounting function — so flexibility, curiosity, and a “roll‑up‑your‑sleeves” attitude are key. If you have experience in cost accounting or manufacturing, and you’re comfortable in fast‑changing environments, we’d love to talk.

This is a hybrid contract role
, with a mix of in‑office and remote work.

• Help develop and maintain the cost accounting function for the factory
• Set up standard costs for new inventory items
• Maintain inventory master data and ensure all classifications are complete
• Run and analyze periodic purchase price variance (PPV) reports with finance partners
• Support month‑end close activities and perform analytical reviews for inventory and COGS balances
• Track consignment inventory and prepare monthly roll‑forwards and reconciliations
• Review cost roll‑ups for manufactured items and identify variances against forecast
• Prepare and review monthly account reconciliations

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field (CPA a plus, not required)
• Experience in cost accounting, or manufacturing
• Familiarity with Oracle Fusion or a similar ERP system
• Prior experience working in a larger corporate or manufacturing environment
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Comfortable in a fast‑paced, evolving environment
• Great communication and collaboration skills
• Someone open to contract or long‑term interim work
