Senior Audit Associate (Phoenix, Arizona)
A Senior Audit Associate performs and supervises a broad range of accounting, auditing, and consulting activities for clients, including healthcare entities, not‑for‑profit clients, casinos and the hospitality industry, financial institutions, commercial businesses, and local and tribal governments.
What You’ll Do- Provide continuous attention, communication, and coordination to clients.
- Build relationships with senior level client personnel.
- Obtain client expectations from management team and strategize a plan to meet those expectations.
- Inform Principal and Manager about issues, help prepare information to be communicated to client and document key client discussions.
- Develop project hour/cost budgets.
- Provide supervision, assistance and feedback to staff.
- Provide timely information about scope changes and inform Manager and/or Principal.
- Coordinate with Manager and/or principal to achieve committed deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- Passed, conditioned or qualified to take the CPA exam.
- A minimum of two years’ work experience in public accounting.
- Willing to travel.
- Knowledgeable of AICPA professional standards.
- Knowledgeable of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Knowledgeable of Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) pronouncements.
- Knowledgeable of Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) pronouncements.
Competitive Compensation
- Salary range: $72,000 to $108,000
- Final offer based on location, experience, skills, licensure, and business need
