Staff Accountant

Overview

Staff Accountant - Fixed Assets at Grimmway Produce Group, Premier location in Shafter, CA, day shift.

Responsible for supporting the General Accounting department by assisting with daily and monthly accounting tasks, ensuring accurate financial records, fixed‑asset reconciliations, maintenance of depreciation schedules, and CAPEX reporting. This role is key to maintaining financial accuracy and contributing to the department’s overall success.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 1–3 years of accounting experience (preferably in a similar industry or environment).
• Experience with fixed‑asset reconciliations and maintenance of depreciation schedules.
• Knowledge of CAPEX reporting.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Remote work not available for this position.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean DMV driving record.
• Must pass pre‑placement drug/alcohol screening and background check.

• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Epicor).
• Exposure to 571 filings and property tax returns.

• Starting wage: $68,640 – $80,000 per year.
