About the Role:

Join Petrik & Murtha, LLC as a Senior Accountant and be part of a dynamic team dedicated to providing exceptional tax and accounting services. In this role, you will leverage your expertise to deliver strategic tax and accounting solutions while fostering strong client relationships in a collaborative environment.

Fulltime hours during tax season and part-time flexible schedule outside of tax season.

• Prepare and review complex individual and corporate tax returns.
• Year end accounting for business clients.
• Conduct tax research and analysis to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Identify tax-saving opportunities for clients through strategic planning.
• Assist clients with tax audits and inquiries, providing expert guidance and support.
• Collaborate with team members to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
• Stay updated on tax law changes and communicate impacts to clients.
• Mentor junior staff and provide training on tax preparation and compliance.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure high levels of satisfaction.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; CPA preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in public accounting.
• Strong knowledge of tax regulations and compliance issues.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in tax preparation software (Ultra Tax experience a plus) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Proficient in Quick Books Desktop and Quick Books online.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
