Forvis Mazars is a leading global professional services network providing audit, assurance, tax and advisory services. In the UK they operate 14 offices and employ over 3,400 professionals, including 190 partners. The firm focuses on supporting inclusive growth and shaping a better future for clients and staff alike.

About the role

You will join the Associate Client Advisor Apprentice team within the AOS (Accounting & Outsourcing Services) Rotational Programme. The programme will allow you to gain hands‑on experience across a wide range of accounting disciplines – statutory accounts, management accounts, VAT, payroll and personal tax – while developing technical and professional skills.

Role and responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly management accounts for a variety of clients.
  • Perform day‑to‑day accounting duties, including processing invoices, reconciling bank statements and maintaining ledgers.
  • Support the preparation and submission of VAT returns and other tax‑related documentation.
  • Contribute to client onboarding, setting up financial systems and gathering initial documentation.
  • Participate in financial analysis and reporting to help clients understand their business performance.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records in line with internal and external compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with different teams to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, responding to queries and providing updates on work progress.
  • Attend training sessions and complete coursework as part of your apprenticeship qualification.

We operate a hybrid working model: trainees split time between working from home, visiting the office, client sites when required, and studying for their professional exams.

Who we’re looking for
  • On track or have obtained A‑level, BTEC or equivalent qualifications; excellent academic performance is important.
  • Deep curiosity to learn new things and natural inquisitiveness.
  • Critical thinking, problem‑solving and the ability to share knowledge with others.
  • Commitment to personal and professional development.
  • High sense of ownership and responsibility to deliver on promises.
  • Always strives for improvement and looks for ways to deliver better outcomes.
  • Enjoys meeting and engaging with new people, respecting diversity and integrity.
  • Works well under pressure and possesses a positive ‘can‑do’ attitude.
  • Excellent time‑management skills.
  • Willingness to travel and adapt to a flexible working environment.

Excellent academic performance is important, but we understand that circumstances can affect results. If you do not meet our minimum requirements, please submit any exceptional achievements or contextual information that may have affected your results. We consider achievements in the context of your socio‑economic background.
