AP Manager needed in FTL area. Offers 1 day remote work.

Responsibilities
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience (experience with a multi-site operator is a plus). Degree in Accounting preferred.
  • Experience managing a team of 2 to 3 AP Specialists
  • Experience processing invoices and completing payment runs
  • Strong understanding of 3-way match and Purchase Orders
  • Able to review expense reports, assist employees and properly assign GL accounts to expenditures
  • Manage monthly closing of AP, reconcile statements, and assist with the annual audit.
  • Participate in the month end close process including analyzing the monthly income statement for transactions booked in the right period.
  • Oversee internal reimbursement of credit cards
  • Responsible for preparing and issuing 1099’s, along with improving the process.
  • Research, resolve and communicate any discrepancies or outstanding balances on vendor accounts.
  • Jointly develop and initiate with the team and other departments cross functional process improvements
  • Help implement and maintain systems, procedures, and policies, including accounts payable functions to ensure adherence to company guidelines.
  • Knowledge of debits and credits
  • Strong MS Excel skills including vlookups, tables and pivot charts, and ability to analyze data.
  • Handle confidential information in a discreet, professional manner.
  • Work with vendors/employees at all levels promptly and professionally, and work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Able to problem-solve, perform research, create reports, and take on ad-hoc requests
