Job Summary
HR Service Jobs is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Remote Bookkeeping Executive specializing in German accounting practices to join our growing team. This home-based role involves managing financial records, reconciling accounts, and ensuring accurate bookkeeping in compliance with German accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
As part of our dynamic team, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining financial accuracy and supporting strategic decision-making through timely reporting and analysis.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and manage invoices, expense reports, and vendor payments in accordance with German accounting regulations.
- Monitor financial transactions, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and internal policies.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure accurate financial data for business decision-making.
- Support audits and provide documentation as required.
- Identify discrepancies or errors and take corrective action promptly.
- Keep up-to-date with changes in German accounting laws, standards, and practices.
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting, preferably with German accounting practices.
- Strong understanding of accounting software (e.g., DATEV, SAP, Quick Books, or equivalent).
- Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setup.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Professional communication skills in both German and English.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or financial management.
- Prior experience handling German accounts or working with German clients is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with remote work environments and cloud-based accounting tools is a plus.
- Full-time, remote position.
- Flexible working hours with a requirement to meet deadlines and attend virtual meetings.
- Occasionally may require coordination across different time zones.
- Proficiency in accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Strong computer literacy and proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite.
