Seasonal Tax Expert – CPA or EA – Work from Home

H&R Block seeks experienced Tax Professionals to serve diverse client tax needs on a seasonal basis. You will receive advanced tax training and work with a collaborative team.

• Conduct tax interviews with clients face‑to‑face and through virtual tools (video, phone, chat, email).
• Prepare accurate tax returns for individuals, trusts, and partnerships.
• Generate business growth and increase client retention by offering additional products and services.
• Provide clients with IRS support and tax notice services.
• Represent clients in audits when you meet Circular 230 qualifications.
• Mentor and support teammates.
• Successfully complete the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• Use virtual tools efficiently and communicate clearly in person, by phone, and in writing.
• Meet all IRS and applicable state requirements.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification.
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or tax.
• Experience completing complex individual, trust, and partnership returns.
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews.
• Experience with tax planning and audit support.
• Sales and/or marketing experience (beneficial).
• High school diploma or equivalent (minimum).
