A leading business management firm supporting emerging and established fashion brands is seeking a Remote Accounting Coordinator /Manager DOE, to join their growing team. This position plays a vital role in daily accounting operations for multiple fashion businesses, ensuring accurate financial reporting and smooth back-office processes.
As an Accounting Coordinator/Manager, you’ll manage transactions across accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and expense reconciliation. You’ll also assist with month-end close, journal entries, and financial reporting for a portfolio of fashion and lifestyle clients.
The ideal candidate has prior accounting experience within the fashion or apparel industry, strong Quick Books Online skills, and a keen understanding of how creative businesses operate financially. You’ll be part of a collaborative remote team that values accuracy, efficiency, and professionalism.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Process accounts payable and handle vendor payments for multiple client accounts.
- Manage accounts receivable, reconcile balances, and assist with client invoicing.
- Review and reconcile expense reports and credit card statements using Expensify.
- Oversee new employee onboarding and run payroll for client businesses.
- Prepare commission statements and support monthly account reconciliations.
- Assist with journal entries and month-end close procedures.
- Collect vendor tax forms and support 1099 preparation and distribution.
- Generate weekly and monthly financial reports for client review.
- Help analyze budgets and cash flow for startups and growing brands.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field.
- 2+ years of accounting experience within the fashion or apparel industry.
- Strong proficiency with Quick Books Online and Excel.
- Familiarity with Expensify or other expense management tools.
- Experience handling AP, AR, and payroll for multiple entities.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
- Strong understanding of financial processes for wholesale, retail, and e-commerce operations.
- Ability to work independently and remotely with multiple clients.
- Positive, client-service mindset with strong communication skills.
