Responsibilities- Help customers complete their tax returns using Intuit Turbo Tax products, providing tax guidance, reviewing self‑filed returns, preparing full‑service returns, and managing product/software inquiries.
- Use government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to research and provide accurate answers to customers in clear terms.
- Act in a virtual, customer‑facing role, using state‑of‑the‑art video communication software to interact with customers, documenting interactions to maintain accurate records.
- Minimum of two (2) years of paid professional tax‑preparation experience.
- Ability to provide CRA Representative use the Represent a Client service.
- Experience using professional tax software to prepare and file personal tax returns, including complex elements such as employment, self‑employment, rental, investment, T1135 forms, foreign income, and various credits and deductions.
- Strong customer‑service skills and enthusiasm for interacting with customers professionally, amicably, and confidently via video and audio tools.
- Willingness and availability to work a flexible schedule with a minimum of 20 hours per week.
- Proficiency in English and French; ability to provide real‑time guidance to English‑ and French‑speaking clients across Canada.
- Experience preparing Business Tax (T2) returns.
- Experience preparing Quebec Tax (TP1) returns.
- Tax expertise – fundamental understanding of tax laws and concepts, continuous learning.
- Effective communication – strong written and verbal skills, active listening.
- Complex problem solving – ownership, ability to resolve or escalated appropriately.
- Research / resourcefulness – curiosity, continuous improvement.
- Technical acumen – willingness to learn necessary tools, basic troubleshooting ability.
Competitive compensation package based on a pay‑for‑performance rewards approach. Base pay ranges from $24.50 per hour to $33.50 per hour in PEI, BC, and Nova Scotia. This position is eligible for cash bonuses, equity rewards, and benefits. Pay is based on experience, knowledge, and location. Regular pay equity comparisons are conducted by Intuit to ensure fairness across ethnicity and gender categories.
