Job DetailsThis is a remote position for a Senior Tax Accountant with a focus on federal and state tax, tax planning, and tax review. The ideal candidate will manage 1040 individual returns, 1120S, and estate/trust returns, and work with high net worth clients.
Responsibilities- Preparing and reviewing federal and state income tax returns for individuals, businesses, trusts, and estates.
- Providing tax planning and consulting services to a diverse client base, including high net worth individuals.
- Researching and interpreting tax laws and regulations to provide accurate advice to clients.
- Assisting with internal tax operations and process improvements.
- Managing and maintaining client relationships, ensuring tax compliance and tailored advice.
- Collaborating with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting and decision support.
- Staying updated on current tax practices and changes in tax law.
- Providing leadership and support to junior staff, fostering a positive work environment.
- Minimum 5+ years of tax accounting experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field. CPA license is preferred.
- Proficiency in federal and state tax, tax planning, and tax review.
- Extensive experience in preparing and reviewing 1040, 1120S, and estate/trust returns.
- Experience working with high net worth individuals.
- Strong understanding of tax code, compliance, and procedures for corporations.
- Excellent research and interpretation skills regarding tax laws and regulations.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage client relationships effectively.
- Leadership skills with ability to guide and mentor junior staff.
- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
