The Tax Specialist, Advanced Reviewer will work with other BNN tax professionals to review federal and state tax returns during peak seasons and may work on complex projects within the POD. They will assist staff by providing services to support the client service work of the Tax Department.
Responsibilities- Review federal and state income tax returns during peak seasons.
- Assist staff by providing services to support client service work of the Tax Department.
- Collaborate with other tax professionals on complex projects within the POD.
- Demonstrate dedication to high-caliber client service.
- Five or more years’ experience in taxation with a public accounting firm.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
- CPA license required.
- Advanced knowledge of tax reviewing at federal and state levels, including returns of individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts.
- Excellent project management, analytical, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to use tax research tools to determine proper treatment of client transactions.
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines; flexible to busy season needs.
- Discretion to protect client and company confidentiality.
- Flexible schedule based on business needs, up to 40 hours per week; overtime may be required during busy season.
- All hours worked are billable to a client, except approved administrative time for training, meetings, and time entry.
