Tax and Accounting Manager

We are seeking a skilled Tax & Accounting Manager to deliver client focused, top-notch tax and financial services and solutions. This position will work directly with clients, business owners, and client’s management. Overseeing accurate and timely review of tax returns, financial statements, and staff are crucial elements of this position. This position can progress toward a partnership/owner role.

• Assist clients with reaching personal and business financial goals through various client advisory services
• Complete and oversee preparations, compilations, and reviews of financial statements
• Manage and facilitate the preparation and review of individual and corporate federal and state tax returns, as well as other compliance projects
• Seek opportunities for process improvement within the company’s procedures
• Supervise, develop, and mentor new and/or other inexperienced staff
• Provide input on various firm initiatives and direction
• Research tax law implications and accurately interpret for clients

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5-7+ years of public accounting experience
• Working knowledge of tax laws, GAAP, and special purpose framework presentations
• Strong organizational and stress management skills
• Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience managing or training staff
• Proficiency in MS Office Applications
• Experience with Quick Books and Thomson Reuters suite of products is a plus
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• CPA is preferred, but not required
