A successful midtown Manhattan based real estate owner/developer firm is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist with a focus on construction projects to join their impressive team of professionals. The ideal candidate will possess skills and logic to be the driving force behind the firm’s A/P process for their emerging construction division. This is an excellent opportunity offering growth within a highly successful and award-winning company.

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently perform full cycle accounts payable responsibilities utilizing Yardi and Avid Xchange software including matching, batching, coding and cutting of checks or preparing wire payments.
• Reviewing all AIAs, reviewing project costs, ensuring payments are being made to the appropriate vendors in accordance with contract terms, maintaining vendor/sub-contractor communication, posting payments, etc.
• Obtain check approvals and ensure all payment processes are completed in a timely manner.
• Code vendor invoices with proper general ledger codes.
• Act as primary contact for both internal and external account inquiries.
• Assist with the month-end close process, as well as financial and internal audits.

Qualifications:

• 5 plus years of experience with construction/development accounts payable.
• Polished and professional with the ability to interface with all levels of staff.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Yardi and/or Avid Xchange or similar software experience is a plus.

Compensation (commensurate with experience level): $80,000 – $95,000 plus bonus, 401k match, comprehensive health benefits and many other valuable perks.

The above salary range represents Advice's good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible base compensation range at the time of posting and is not reflective of the total compensation package, which may also include benefits, equity and other non-cash incentives.
