Staff Accountant (Temporary Opportunity)

We’re looking for a detail‑oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to support our Finance team with day‑to‑day accounting and administrative tasks. What You’ll Do

As a key support to our Director of Finance and Finance team, your day will include a variety of important and engaging tasks, such as:

  • Assisting with daily accounting activities, including data entry, accounts payable/receivable, account reconciliations, and invoice management
  • Processing expense reports and ensuring all expenses are coded correctly
  • Preparing sales tax returns and summarizing weekly wholesale sales
  • Recording monthly product samples and coordinating timely pickup/distribution of shop mail and invoices
  • Supporting administrative needs such as license renewals and policy compliance
  • Preparing weekly check runs and processing payments (check, ACH, credit card)
  • Making deposits and helping investigate and resolve any accounting discrepancies
  • Pitching in on special projects and additional tasks as needed

What You Bring

We’re excited to meet candidates who bring a mix of technical skills, curiosity, and a team‑first mindset. Ideal qualifications include:

  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and the ability to analyze financial transactions
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
  • Willingness and aptitude to learn new systems such as Mass Pay, Toast, and Restaurant
    365
  • Excellent organizational and strong attention to detail
  • Clear and confident written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively across departments
  • Knowledge of inventory and cost of goods is a plus
  • Strong problem‑solving abilities and a drive to follow issues through to resolution
  • Self‑directed approach with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Understanding of internal controls and a commitment to accuracy

You’ll work in a supportive, professional office setting with access to standard office equipment. We also offer the flexibility to work from home approximately two days per week, depending on business needs.

This position will require that you work on site for the training period, then you'll have flexibility to work 2 days from home/3 in office.
