About You

We are currently seeking an energetic, passionate, self-motivated Accountant/Payroll Specialist to join our growing team. We are a perception defying CPA firm dedicated to excellent client service with tax, consulting, CFO and accounting work. Ideal candidate must exhibit exceptional client service and professionalism in all interaction and communication, high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive information, as well as a mindset to grow.

The Accountant/Payroll Specialist is responsible for the following:

• Data entry into Quick Books, Excel and other programs

• Weekly/Daily transaction entry and coding
• Closing book on a monthly and yearly basis
• Prepares and maintains financial data & records
• Bank Recs and Loan tie outs

• Prepare payroll for clients using 3rd party processor

• Process bi-weekly and semi-monthly payrolls accurately and timely.
• Set up, maintain, and manage garnishments, levies, and direct deposits.
• Ensure compliance and completeness of payroll records.
• Analyze and validate time off accruals, deductions, and new hire data.
• Produce timely and accurate payroll reports as needed.

• Sales tax filing for multiple states

• Preparation and filing of 1099's

• Manage multiple clients & projects simultaneously - typically 15-20 clients assigned to you

• Special projects as assigned

• Meeting with clients on zoom or emailing clients as main point of contact

• Communicating with clients on day to day issues in a timely manner

Qualifications:

• Two year associate degree

• Experience in a public accounting firm HIGHLY PREFERRED or experience working on multiple clients

• 2-3 years of accounting experience

• Effective task management, dedication to high quality service, and thorough attention to detail and accuracy

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite – especially Excel, Word, and Outlook

• Experience in payroll entry - ADP/Gusto
