About the RoleWe are actively seeking a Client Accounting Lead to execute and oversee end‑to‑end cloud‑accounting tasks for a diverse client portfolio.
Ideal Candidate- 3+ years of multi‑client cloud accounting experience, remotely managing clients across industries with process implementation, onboarding, cleanup, and financial reporting.
- Extensive payroll and monthly close experience with QBO, Gusto, and other common cloud accounting software (5+ years).
- Strong accrual accounting knowledge, audit‑ready schedules, and the ability to pull data from external systems.
- Higher‑education accounting or finance degree; CPA or public‑accounting experience a plus.
- Excellent communication skills across digital channels and a desire to build relationships.
- Detail orientation and passion for setting high standards.
- Problem‑solving mindset and willingness to ask for help when needed.
- Humility, openness to coaching, and a drive to continuously improve.
- Coachability and enthusiasm for mentoring junior staff.
- Joyful, positive attitude in all interactions.
- Persistence and polite follow‑up to keep projects on track.
- Overall care of full‑charge bookkeeping and finance processes (invoicing, bill‑pay, payroll processing, monthly close, sales tax, year‑end prep, etc.) for 10‑20 clients.
- Collaborate with the support team—schedule and delegate tasks, review work, and coach team members with clear, warm communication.
- Primary client contact—answer questions, provide guidance, and recommend process improvements.
- Review prospective client books to identify errors, assist sales with accurate pricing, and craft onboarding plans; delegate and manage cleanup and onboarding work once engagements are signed.

- Competitive compensation: base salary $70,000 – $78,000 plus quarterly bonus up to $4,000 based on client profit.
