Enterprise Senior Accountant - Remote; India-

Overview

We are a fast growing, modern, 100% remote organization delivering accounting, payroll, bill-pay, invoicing and sales tax filing services to hundreds of customers nationwide. We are actively seeking a Senior Accountant who will be responsible for day-to-day accounting and finance tasks for clients in our Enterprise division.

This position is available for individuals based in India seeking 40 hours of work per week.

• Handle day-to-day accounting and finance tasks for multiple US-based clients in a multi-client environment (transaction entry, invoicing, bill payments, payroll preparation, journal entries, reconciliations, etc.).
• Ensure work is organized in Karbon, our practice management system, to manage work across multiple clients effectively.
• Interact with clients from time to time to answer questions or request information, while maintaining professional communication.
• Collaborate with senior staff and seek guidance when needed, to ensure accuracy and timely delivery.

• Accounting and payroll experience in a multi-client environment with US-based clients. College degree required. CPA/CAS firm experience is a strong plus.
• Proficiency in cloud accounting technologies with at least 2 years running payroll, paying bills, and handling day-to-day transactional duties for US-based clients in multiple industries (3+ years in Net Suite, SAGE, Intaact, QBO, , Advanced Excel, Gusto or similar).
• Advanced analytical skills to interpret large data into meaningful financial report insights.
• At least 2 years of experience in accounting and reporting for PE and/or VC funded portfolio companies.
• Experience in managing audits for clients is a strong plus.
• Ability to manage deadlines across multiple clients with prioritization awareness.
• Excellent communication skills with clients and team members across digital channels and a desire to build relationships.
• Humility and openness to coaching and critique; always seeking improvement.
• Keen attention to detail with a focus on accuracy, integrity, and dependability.
• Positive attitude and collaborative approach in all communications.
• Persistence and ability to politely remind others to stay on track.

• Work with senior staff to handle day-to-day operations for clients (transaction entry, invoicing, bill payments, payroll preparation, journal entries, reconciliations, etc.).
• Maintain organized workflows in Karbon for managing work across multiple clients.
• Occasional client interactions to address questions or obtain required information.
• Proactively ask questions to teammates when clarification is needed to complete tasks accurately.

This role is currently structured as a contractor position but will transition to full-time employment as our India-based team grows.
