About the Role:

The Senior Accountant will maintain financial records and ensures that financial transactions are properly recorded in accordance with U.S. GAAP, corporate policies, and external audits. The Senior Accountant will ensure the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconcile subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger. This position reports to the Accounting Manager and is located at our home office in Tampa.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assume responsibility and ownership of the cash reconciliation module, creating rules which accurately record and match recurring transactions.
  • Collaborate with RCM department to provide detail of deposits and resolve discrepancies in cash application.
  • Review and record payroll journal entries for accuracy as provided by the payroll department.
  • Calculate and validate the product buyback and rebate incentives accrual each month.
  • Calculate true‑up entry for rebate accrual vs actual rebate received.
  • Reconcile and record corporate and purchasing credit card transactions with data obtained from Concur.
  • Maintain and update the debt facility workbook, including calculating interest payable and deferred financing costs.
  • Maintain fixed assets in Net Asset by recognizing and recording fixed assets in accordance with departmental policy and depreciate and maintain book balances in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Maintain and adjust present values of leases in Net Lease with ASC 842.
  • Prepare monthly reconciliation of assigned balance sheet accounts including documentation to support the balances.
  • Support the team with other various tasks within the month end close process, including analytical review of financial results and understanding factors driving variances.
  • Prepare and post other ad hoc journal entries for multiple locations within the Net Suite Accounting System as needed.
  • Assist the department with corporate expansions of clinics.
  • Work in collaboration with the finance team, other departments, and clinics to ensure department and organizational goals and objectives are met.
  • Maintain financial records and ensure financial transactions are properly recorded.
  • Ensure accuracy of ledger accounts to the general ledger.
  • Maintain the confidentiality and security of Protected Health Information (PHI) in accordance with UVVC policies, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and other applicable laws and regulations.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required;
    Master’s preferred.
  • Public Accounting experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, accounting concepts, and best practices.
  • 2 to 4 years of accounting experience.
