Part-Time Accountant
Location: Remote, in-office option in Eagan, MN
Rate: $35/hour

Description:
As a member of the Operations team, the Part-Time Accountant (20 hours per week) reports to and supports the CFO and is responsible for a variety of duties including assisting with invoicing, managing receivables / payables, processing bank transactions, supporting month-end close process, and performing other duties as assigned. Hours are flexible as long as deadlines are met and position is work from home.
Working from the office is also available if preferred.
This position requires intermediate technical and financial skills, flexibility, attention to detail, critical problem solving, accounting proficiency, familiarity with accounting software and Excel, and the ability to work well with all levels of management. Sensitivity to confidential matters is required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day accounting tasks, including accounts payable and receivable with accuracy and timeliness.
- Assisting with the monthly invoicing process including maintaining and updating accounting records.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports.
- Record bank transactions and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant accounting standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
- Provide back-up support for key finance and accounting processes.
Non-essential Duties, but are not limited to:
- Perform special projects as required, and manage additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Finance and Operations teams.
Qualifications
Required:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of accounting experience (staffing industry experience is a plus).
- Proficiency in accounting software (Microsoft Dynamics GP experience preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and systems.
- Excellent communication, and organizational skills
- Technical/Financial and analytical skillset
- Ability to prioritize and take initiative
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools with strong Excel skills
- A high level of confidentiality
