Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Phoenix, Arizona. This is a long-term contract position offering flexibility in your schedule and the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic workplace. The role will primarily involve remote work, with occasional in-office requirements.

Responsibilities:

- Process and manage accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently.

- Verify and code invoices to ensure compliance with organizational policies.

- Handle payment processing, including ACH transactions and check runs.

- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and related documentation.

- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely payment of invoices.

- Assist with data cleanup and preparation for system upgrades.

- Support the transition from People Soft to Workday, ensuring seamless integration.

- Address vendor inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

- Generate reports related to accounts payable activities for management review. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable processes, including invoice coding and payment management.

- Familiarity with automated clearing house (ACH) transactions and check processing.

- Proficiency in financial software, with experience in People Soft and Workday preferred.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in high-volume tasks.

- Excellent communication skills for vendor and team collaboration.

- Ability to adapt to new systems and contribute to data cleanup efforts.

- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities effectively.

- Experience in a flexible work environment, including remote settings.
