The Property Accountant prepares monthly financial statements (cash and accrual) for assigned office, industrial, association, construction/development, partnership, and retail projects. The role works closely with property managers to complete monthly reporting packages sent to clients, based on experience level and product type.

• Provide internal and external reporting of the project’s financial results.
• Prepare internal and external reporting packages, working with property management to analyze financial performance and develop reports.
• Support the budgeting process and expense reconciliation preparation through review of data.
• Prepare recurring and ad–hoc analysis and reports as required.
• Provide excellent external and internal customer service.
• Prepare monthly financial statement packages, including:
  • Creating and posting journal entries to the general ledger
  • Fixed‑asset depreciation and amortization roll‑forward
  • In‑depth review of the general ledger and income statement
  • Bank statement reconciliations
  • Property Manager variance comment review
  • Balance sheet reconciliations

• 1‑3 years of related accounting/reporting experience.
• Quantitative analytical and accounting skills commensurate with experience level.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles.
• Intermediate competence in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Knowledge of accounting software;
  Yardi and/or MRI experience is a plus.
• Real estate industry experience is a plus.
• Ability to interact with clients and team members.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; listens with understanding.
• High level of self‑motivation, ability to multi‑task, and thrive in a deadline‑oriented environment.
• Initiative in solving routine/advanced problems and presenting possible solutions to management for feedback on more complex issues.
