Our client is a public accounting firm. They seek an Audit Manager to join their Brightwaters, NY office.
Responsibilities- Review detailed financial statement audit engagements, review engagements, agreed-upon procedures engagements, and outsourced accounting engagements
- Oversee financial statement accounts assigned, including personnel scheduling, compliance with due dates, billing, and monitoring time budgets
- Examine and analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and adherence to reporting standards
- Advise and mentor assurance staff on specific financial statement issues and related questions
- Lead client service responsibilities, ensuring high-quality engagement delivery
- Coordinate time management across multiple engagements to meet deadlines efficiently
- Utilize computer skills effectively, including Pro System’s Engagement, Microsoft Office, and XCM
- Direct and supervise teams of senior and staff-level assurance associates
- Participate actively in the firm’s career advisory program
- 5+ years of audit experience
- Public accounting experience required
- Commercial industries required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational techniques
- Business development experience preferred
- CPA required
