Position Summary:
The Senior Tax Accountant is responsible for delivering high‑quality tax compliance and advisory services to clients across various industries. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced tax professional to join a growing Colorado‑based firm with an excellent reputation in the state.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and review complex federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts.
- Assist in tax planning and consulting projects for a diverse client base.
- Conduct tax research and draft memorandums to support tax positions.
- Communicate directly with clients to gather information, address inquiries, and provide updates.
- Collaborate with managers and partners on client engagements and workflow management.
- Identify tax‑saving opportunities and process improvements for clients.
- Stay current on tax law changes and industry trends.
- Mentor and support junior staff through technical guidance and on‑the‑job training.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required;
Master’s in Taxation a plus. - CPA license (or CPA eligible and actively pursuing).
- 2+ years of recent public accounting tax experience.
- Strong technical knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Experience with tax software (e.g., CCH Axcess, Pro System fx, or similar platforms).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time‑management abilities in a remote work environment.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a virtual team.
