Overview
Audit Manager, Manufacturing & Distribution or Technology – Los Angeles, CA (preferred) with flexibility for other U.S. office locations. The role supports our Audit practice, providing assurance and consulting services to large manufacturing, distribution and technology clients, and leading the resolution of complex accounting issues. The firm offers remote work options at this time.
Professional Responsibilities- Lead multiple audit engagements and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, results-based environment.
- Collaborate to plan audit objectives and determine an audit strategy addressing risks to a client s financial position.
- Set expectations for the audit team and the value of client services.
- Identify accounting and audit risks using US GAAP, IFRS, US GAAS, IAS and PCAOB standards.
- Manage all engagement fieldwork to ensure quality service and timely delivery of results.
- Manage engagement budgets and adjust as needed to meet profitability targets.
- Anticipate client concerns and escalate significant issues to the engagement partner as they arise.
- Assist with engagement administration including staffing, billing & collections; ensure profitability targets are achieved.
- Understand client industries and industry trends affecting performance and key drivers.
- Support the development and professional growth of other audit staff through training and feedback.
- Act as a trusted adviser and identify opportunities for expanded services.
- Develop strategies for long-term client relationships and business growth; pursue centers of influence.
- Maintain self-development with ongoing technical specialization and education.
- Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- Active CPA license.
- 6–10 years of relevant audit experience in a CPA firm, professional services firm, or consulting practice.
- Experience developing and executing audit strategies for manufacturing, distribution, technology, large corporations, multi-national companies or SEC registrants.
- Working knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, US GAAS, IAS and PCAOB AS.
- Demonstrated success leading teams and mentoring staff on multiple engagements.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; working knowledge of Pro System Engagement or similar audit software.
- Strong client relationship skills; excellent oral and written communication; strong analytical, organizational and project management abilities.
- Ability to travel to client locations as needed.
